Our Mission:

To provide a safe and encouraging environment in which the positive spirit of homeless people is nurtured through artistic expression, and to provide them with a source of pride and income through the sale of their work.

Our Story:

Art From the Streets is a volunteer-run program that provides a safe and encouraging place where people who are homeless come to draw, paint, and create during free, twice-weekly open studio sessions. The program culminates each year in the Annual Show and Sale, where participants exhibit and sell their work to the public.

Art from the Streets has been the subject of incredible community support and fascination, including Layton Blaylock’s feature-length documentary, Art from the Streets and inclusion on an episode of KLRU’s Emmy-Award Winning Downtown series.
