Why buying art helps
Buying a piece of art at the Art From the Streets Annual Show and Sale, is a great way to assist homeless individuals who call Austin "home."
Since 1992, the annual shows have attracted thousands of Austinites, and produced more than $350,000 of art sales. Proceeds have helped hundreds of homeless artists pay for much needed transportation, clothing, food and medical care; and in some cases, even rent apartments, and get off the streets.
